Dr. Anji Ben Hamed Amara is the MBA Director and the Director of Ahlia Center for Entreprneurship at Ahlia University Bahrain. She is an Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the Management and Marketing Department. She holds a Bachelor degree in High Commercial Studies and a Master degree in Management & Marketing from The Higher Institute of Commercial Studies (HEC) – University of Carthage- Tunisia. She obtained her PhD degree in Management and Entrepreneurship from the University Paris 13, Sorbonne, with the highest level of distinction that could be awarded for a PhD in that first category university in France. Dr. Anji has wide ranging experience in academic teaching, research, training and consulting/mentoring in management, marketing and entrepreneurship for the last 12 years in Tunisia, France and Bahrain. She is certified as a professional coach-trainer in entrepreneurship and leadership by the Center of International Private Enterprise (CIPE), USA and the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, USA. Dr. Anji conducted research in the area of management, strategic management, entrepreneurship and innovation, social entrepreneurship, economic growth, Leadership, team work, marketing, e-commerce, consumer behavior, digital marketing and social media marketing. She is appointed as reviewer by Bahrain Quality Assurance (BQA) and by the International Management Research Academy (IMRA), in the UK. Dr. Anji has been honored by Injaz Bahrain for the outstanding contribution as a volunteer- mentor in the company program for universities. She has also been honored by the Facebook organization and EdVenture Partners (USA) by receiving an Honorable Mention for the participation in the Peer to Peer: Facebook Global Digital Challenge with the project “Together SAFE” (Marketing campaign). Dr. Anji teaches management, entrepreneurship and innovation, new product development, marketing, consumer behavior. She has supervised multiple Bachelor degree projects, as well as MBA/ Master theses and projects.
