Leena Al Olaimy is co-founder and managing director of 3BL Associates, a people & planet strategy consultancy working on interconnected sustainable development issues like peace, climate change, and inclusive economic growth. Through 3BL’s think-do-tank, Olaimy has co-founded award-winning ventures like Diversity On Board and Public-Planet Partnerships (an Expo 2020 Global Impact Innovator). She is also an Impact Advisor to Future Planet Capital, which focuses on connecting large investors, including sovereign wealth funds, with hard-to-access opportunities in technology and life sciences. Olaimy has served as Judge and mentor for HRH the Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace, MIT’s Arab Enterprise Forum, MIT’s Innovate for Refugees, and Ford’s MENA Environmental Conservation Competition. She previously served on the advisory board of HRH Prince El Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan’s West Asia North Africa Forum, the Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue, and Swiss-based Benefit Corporation, Causedirect. Olaimy is a Fulbright Scholar, a Dalai Lama Fellow, a Wall Street Journal ‘Woman of Note’, and has been listed among Bahrain’s Most Influential Women in ‘Business in the Gulf.’ She is author of the forthcoming book, Compassionate Counterterrorism: The Power of Inclusion in Fighting Fundamentalism. Olaimy holds a B.Sc. in Culture and Interpersonal Communications from New York University, an MA in Globalization Studies from Dartmouth College, and is an alumna of the THNK School for Creative Leadership in Amsterdam, and Singularity University’s Executive Education program.
