Melina Peterson is the founder of Cornerlight Digital—a social media advertising consultancy helping brands of all sizes optimize their paid social programs through strategic consulting, hands-on training, and campaign management. She has proven success working with global brands to scrappy startups alike, tailoring her consulting services to fit the needs of each business—whether that be implementing a full funnel cross-platform strategy, to 1:1 training sessions on the fundamentals of digital marketing, to leveraging paid social to prove product market fit to potential investors. She is also a top-rated digital marketing instructor at General Assembly and has hosted workshops with organizations like The Wing to help entrepreneurs navigate the paid social + digital space. In addition, she runs the NYC-based lifestyle site 5thfloorwalkup.com, which has been featured by publications like Refinery29 and Apartment Therapy. Prior to starting her own business, Melina was an Associate Director at SocialCode, a social advertising agency, where she managed some of the company’s largest retail and beauty accounts like Gap Inc., Estee Lauder, Tory Burch and Barneys New York. Before that, she worked brand side at GUESS? Jeans managing the global brand’s digital advertising and social media, as well as overseeing media partnerships with publishers like VICE, Hypebeast, and Who What Wear. Melina graduated with highest honors with a degree in Sociology from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).
